Back when I was a freshman in college at UMD, I developed headaches. In my case, they came on suddenly and could last for two weeks at a time. The pain in my head and neck was so intense that I couldn't concentrate. I couldn't read, my favorite hobby. I couldn't sleep, and was tired all the time. I felt horrible! I tried almost every kind of over-the-counter medication available but got no lasting relief. I thought I couldn't handle the stress of college. I almost left school.
While in school I met a doctor who offered help. This new doctor does an exam, takes some films, and then "adjusts" my spine. The adjustment doesn't actually hurt - it actually feels good. I get relief, and I feel fully alive to read my favorite books and study again. I'm so impressed with the other "miracles" I see in his office, that I eventually become a chiropractor myself. And that's how and why I became a chiropractor.
It's strange how life is because now people come to see me with their headaches, migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in limbs, athletic injuries, just to name a few.
You should know I don't heal anyone of anything. What I do is perform a specific spinal adjustment to remove nerve pressure, and the body responds by healing itself. We get tremendous results. It's as simple as that.
