Dr. Robert De Young, D.C. Dr. Robert De Young, D.C.

My name is Robert De Young. I am a licensed chiropractic physician and I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and post-graduate training in neurology, nutrition, functional endocrinology and functional medicine and functional blood chemistry analysis.

What I actually do is called integrative or functional medicine - a combination of traditional medicine and alternative medicine. I use the tests from the medical side to find the underlying cause of the problem and the 'treatment' from the alternative side to address the underlying cause of the problem, not just mask the symptoms.

I have lived in Buffalo, MN since 2003 with my lovely wife Maudie and our three beautiful children; Gaia, Sufi, and Mazie.

I got into natural healthcare in 1995 as an athlete who wanted peak performance, but my focus shifted to chronic disease in 2001 because of my own health challenges. If you have Chronic health issue that lasts longer than 6 weeks, didn't heal up on its own,  keeps on going with only drugs to push the symptoms around, you need true healing.

Albert Einstein once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

You may find  answers you are looking for by combining what I had learned in functional medicine,  and cutting edge technology.

The problem with traditional medicine is that it is NOT!  looking for the underlying cause of the problem - it simply looks for conditions/diseases that can be managed with drugs.

The problem with alternative medicine is that it uses qualitative data instead of quantitative data, making it difficult to find the underlying cause of the problem.

This is why so many people who are looking for real solutions continue to suffer.

My practice is made up of difficult chronic conditions such as Lyme disease, autoimmune conditions, unresolved thyroid and metabolic issues, knee problems, neuropathy because there are so few doctors who offer real help.

I became a doctor to fix myself and I accomplished my goal;  I restored my health, I am drug-free and symptom-free.  Now it is my joyful obligation to help others because no one should have to go through another day without the tools to heal themselves.
