Sue Perovich
Sue has a lifelong passion for cooking and eating healthy. Raised on a dairy farm and nourished as a child with the bounty of her mother’s extra-large vegetable garden, she is a firm believer that what you eat is a huge contributor to your health. She loved to read cookbooks as a child and still enjoys cooking as a hobby. The recipes she uses these days are usually adapted to make them keto and/or paleo-friendly.
Sue’s path to functional medicine was paved as she encountered health challenges within her own family. She first sought out traditional medical care which included the use of medication. When one medication didn’t work, another was added to the mix, causing extreme side effects. She asked the physician if he felt her son’s diet might be contributing to his health problems and was told, probably not. Following through on her hunch, however, she found research and resources that helped her discover natural approaches to healing and balancing the body. It all made so much more sense. She put that approach into action with spectacular results for her son.
Now, as a patient care coordinator, Sue helps patients at Functional Medicine Center of MN with diet and lifestyle changes to work in tandem with treatments to accelerate their own healing.
