Relief For Chronic Pain And Inflammation

Chronic pain and inflammation issues had been causing this patient pain and discomfort for a long, long time. She had circulation issues in both legs, which were partly the cause of many painful and uncomfortable symptoms. Plus, she had a hip and knee replacement and was told she would need another knee replacement. Her feet felt like she was walking on pillows or broken glass all day long. Deb: Hi, I’m Deb, and I have been dealing with a lot of chronic pain and inflammation. I’ve had circulation in my legs and a lot of circulation issues in both legs. I’ve had a hip and a knee replacement. I have a left knee that I was told I needed a knee replacement. My legs feel like my feet feel like I’m walking on pillows from the time I go to bed until I get up in the morning. And I feel like I’m walking on broken glass, just very painful.

Dr. Robert: How long have you been feeling that way?

Deb: So I’ve been having this for, like, about five years and it’s been progressively getting worse. And so I’m like, I’m looking for different alternatives to try to get well, so I came to Dr. Robert, and he said, what can I do for you? And I said I’d like to have a new lower half of my body. I can’t handle this anymore. And he said well, okay, let me take a look at it. So here I’ve been here for one week, and I feel amazingly better. I don’t feel like I’m walking on pillows or broken glass. My knees feel so much better, and I just overall I feel amazingly better.

Dr. Robert: Are you surprised that you feel this good in a week?

Deb: I am shocked, I am shocked, and I’m grateful, and I’m glad that I was recommended to come here. So thank you, Dr. Robert.

Dr. Robert: And who recommended you come here?

Deb: I was recommended by Andrea, and um, I’ve actually talked to another patient of yours that i haven’t even told you about yet. And she, like me, was very skeptical and said she couldn’t stand chiropractors. And you were not going to crack her neck. But she trusted you, and she’s doing amazing, so she highly recommended you. So I’m glad I’m here all right.

Hand-Pain Relief In Less Than Two Weeks

Hand-pain relief is possible without shots or surgery! This patient woke up every morning with hand pain he described as an eight or nine out of ten on the pain scale. Before visiting Functional Medicine Center of MN, he tried cortisone shots from a medical doctor and visited a couple of different chiropractors. He even saw an orthopedic surgeon. Nothing and no one could help relieve the pain in his hands. After consulting with Dr. Roberts and receiving treatments for only a week and a half, his hands already felt great.

Dr. Robert: And what did you come in for?

Betty: I came if for diabetic neuropathy, and it was bad. I was walking with a cane and waddling all over. Now I’m walking without a cane and straight. My sores on my legs, and because of the good circulation, I’m getting now, and I’ve healed up. I’m able to write well again.

Dr. Robert: You notice improving your writing.

Betty: I was writing smaller and scratchy, and now I’m writing back to normal. And my mind has improved.

Betty: Yes, my memory has gotten much better, so I am on the mend and feeling great about it.

Betty: No, she hasn’t seen me in about six months. She said, “Oh Mom, you’re doing so well.” You know she was concerned about me, and she wanted to come home and check me out. She was really pleased.

This patient was experiencing acute pain daily. She had muscle and leg cramps at night, and she woke up with pain every morning and could not even touch the side of her jaw or ears. She described the pain as an “eleven out of ten.” However, with only a month of treatments at Functional Medicine Center of MN, the “eleven out of ten” pain is gone!

Plus, she had neuropathy in her legs and feet for over 15 years, which she believes was initially caused by a lower-back injury from years ago. Sharon: Hi, I’m Sharon Patterson. I live in Maple Lake. I’ve been here for about a month now.

Dr. Robert: Yeah, it’s been about a month. What did you come in with, and how long were you having…

Sharon: I had progressively less feeling in my left leg, and it was beginning to be starting in my right foot, my big toe and my right foot wasn’t functioning, uh, just a feeling of numbness. And I had a lot of pain when I first got up in the morning. I’d have headaches, uh, when I’d go to wash my face, I couldn’t touch the sides of my jaw, my face, my ears severe pain.

Dr. Robert: How severe would you say? 11 out of 10!

Sharon: 11 out of 10! Over 10.

Dr. Robert: Just so excruciating

Sharon: And it worried me because I thought, well, maybe it’s that carotid artery thing or whatever, you know. But Dr. Maudi has been working on that, and I’d have to say it’s been very painful, but she’s worked on it, but now I haven’t had any of those pains.

Dr. Robert: It’s gone.

Sharon: Yeah, it’s absolutely so that 11 out of 10 is gone?

Dr. Robert: It’s gone. And then, how long were you dealing with neuropathy in the feet? How many years?

Sharon: Oh, at least 15. Probably more than that. I had something of a back injury years ago. They said it was in my lower tailbone, and it went from the injury to the numbness in my leg and foot, and I just felt real unsteady on my feet, you know, And i. You know, let’s say I’m 70 plus, so I was worried about falling.

Dr. Robert: Yeah, and just have you noticed an increase in steadiness?

Sharon: Yeah, I think I have much better balance now. I still hold on going up and down the stairs. I’m not exactly dancing on the stairs but

Yeah, I do. You know, I feel a little more secure and just even.

Well, now, obviously, we’ve got ice to walk on, whatever too.

Dr. Robert: And are you being woken up by the pain anymore?

Sharon: No, I haven’t had any of the muscle cramps or leg cramps at night anymore, either, so that disappeared

Dr. Robert? And so, within the last month, a lot of changes happened that you’ve had for 15 years.

Sharon: For a month working with you, yes.

Dr. Robert: Well, thank you for sharing.

Julie: I’m Julie from Sartel, and I was introduced to Dr. De Young a year ago, but I came back last November to get some treatment for neuropathy. Neuropathy has plagued me for over 30 years. It’s misery, and my husband’s retired, and I’m very active. And I’m when I’m walking on razor blades and pins and needles, and it can’t feel hot or cold, um, that’s not life. So, um, just thought I’d have to take a plunge and trust this process. I came in how about six weeks ago and started Quantum Neurology started QNRT, PEMF, and last night; for the first time when I was doing one of the treatments, I could actually feel the cool cloth on my foot. I thought I can feel cool now on my feet. I feel like there’s a cushion in my feet when I walk instead of walking on razor blades, and that’s the point. I was at I there’s you know in the medical world there’s no treatment. I don’t do, can’t do the drugs. I get reactions from them. They don’t work. They wreck me.

Julie: And so I’m like, I need help and so, um, and I thought, okay, I’ve had this for 30 years, you know can this help me and I thought okay. I’m I feel so much better. It’s nice to have feeling and warmth in my feet…

Dr. Robert: …the warmth is back and feels like normal feet, not razor blades or pins.

Julie: I’m excited to try the beach next week.

Dr. Robert: Right, going to Florida.

Julie: Yes, I am, and without worries about whether I am going to be able to keep up with my husband because my feet hurt so bad.

Dr. Robert: Yeah, and is there anything that you’d want other people to know? You know from your own personal experience of going through the program. You don’t have to add anything, but if you have anything that you think would be helpful for others?

Julie: Probably the hardest part for me is I’ve come a long way with working through a lot of things, you know, with the QNRT, I really didn’t want to conjure up any past things that could still be affecting me today, but I know that that stuff does exist. So to work through that emotional stuff junk crap from the past was hard but very freeing. There’d be times where I just walk out of a session like I feel lighter every time. Instead of like going forward and moving back, going forward and back, kind of
zoomy, I’m steadily going forward and enjoying, and you know I don’t put my age as a detriment. It’s like you know that you can still go forward if there’s life in your body. Yeah, there’s hope. It just I had the desire, and I had trusted the process, and you know it’s like okay it, you know it works; you know you got to eat right and drink right and sleep right it works.

Dr. Robert: Yeah, be healthy, do healthy things.

Dr. Robert: Well, thank you for sharing.

Julie: Yeah, you’re welcome.

Relief From Tingling Fingers

Dennis: …I come to see Dr. Young for the tingling in my hands. I used to have no feelings except for tingling, and I couldn’t feel anything that I had to pick up. If I was going to pick up a pencil, I had to watch it to see that I had it in my hands.

Dennis: And since we’ve been working on it, I have my feelings back. I used to didn’t have any feelings. I couldn’t feel myself if I cut my finger. And now I can feel my fingernail in there. So I got my feeling back, and the tingling is disappearing. It’s not as bad as it used to be.

Clinician: About how long has it been that you’ve been coming here to our office?

Dennis: This is probably my fifth appointment with that.

Clinician: So if you know of somebody that has tingling in their hands or can’t feel with their fingers what would you suggest they do?

Dennis: I would suggest them to get ahold of Doctor. Come down and see him. He can help you.

Clinician: All right.

Dennis: Very, very good.

Finally, Sleeping Pain-Free After 25 Years

Sleeping pain-free was just a dream for this recent patient. After a bit of encouragement from her daughter, this 91-year-old decided to visit Functional Medicine Center of MN to finally get relief from the neuropathy pain she had been living with for over 25 years. She had neuropathy in her legs since 1997 and lymphedema in her left leg, which was very swollen, painful, and numb. She also had tendonitis in her ankle. The pain was so bad it often woke her up at night. After just a few treatments at Functional Medicine Center of MN, her feet felt amazing, the numbness was gone, and the pain “disappeared.” She was able to walk pain-free. Kathy: My name is Kathy, and I’m from Sartell, Minnesota, and I am 91 years old. And I’ve had neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy, in my leg since 1997. And then I also had tendonitis in my ankle, and it seems like the pain has disappeared. Now and I can walk in my bare feet.

Dr. Robert: What kind of pain levels did you have before coming in? What kind of pain levels would you have if you were barefoot walking?

Kathy: Oh, it’d be about four or five mm-hmm, and it doesn’t really doesn’t hurt at all now

Dr. Robert: and that’s been how many treatments have?

Kathy: I’m just, this is my second one

Dr. Robert: Second one. So we made a big difference.

Kathy: Yes yeah.

Dr. Robert: Okay, and then, um. What other, like the, What was waking you up at night? What were you noticing?

Kathy: Well, uh, when I would wake up, my uh heels would be tingling, and they were kind of numb and pain.

Dr. Robert: And what do you notice different now?

Kathy: Well, no last night I couldn’t notice anything

Dr. Robert: Nothing at all.

Kathy: Didn’t bother my heels at all.

Dr. Robert: And then, before coming in, what else did you have with your fingers?

Kathy: Yeah, I had this uh finger right here that was crooked like that, and now after a couple of treatments, I can just straighten it out. And it was hurting in the palm near to it, and I don’t feel that.

Dr. Robert: Don’t feel that at all?

Kathy: No.

Dr. Robert: And that was after the first day of pelo therapy, mud packing.

Kathy: Yeah, that first day of pelo, it helped.

Dr. Robert: Kind of a lot, um, any comments for people who are younger than you that whether or not they can be helped?

Kathy: Oh goodness, yes. If you’ve got any problems with your legs with neuropathy or anything, I’d sure recommend Dr. Robert.

Dr. Robert: Because you’ve had it for 23 years, and now just, even after their first visit, you noticed differences.

Kathy: Yes. A lot of difference.

Dr. Robert: Well, thank you for sharing

Kathy: It isn’t swollen anymore.

Dr. Robert: That’s right, we forgot to put that in.

Kathy: Oh yeah, I had lymphedema.

Dr. Robert: Where?

Kathy: In my left leg here, it was big and puffy, just like a hard rock, and that is starting to disappear after the first treatment.

Dr. Robert: From the first treatment, you noticed that difference.

Kathy: Yes.

Dr. Robert: And what did your daughter say about it?

Kathy: Oh yeah, my daughter was just amazed. She couldn’t believe it.

Dr. Robert: So very cool. So that swelling has gone down quite a bit.

Kathy: Oh yes, the swellings gone down.

Dr. Robert: Yeah, very good, thank you.
